MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) — A prisoner was charged with hiding a handgun in his rectum on Thursday, police said.
Brandon DeLonte Braxton, 18, of Manassas, hid the gun in his rectum just before he was arrested and taken to the Adult Detention Center in Manassas, police said.
“Detention center staff was alerted to the presence of the handgun and a search was conducted. The gun was found without incident and secured,” police said in a news release.
Braxton was in jail on burglary charges, stemming from a February 7th incident in Prince William County, police said.
Braxton is being charged with possession of a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon by a prisoner and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He is being held, without bond.
